Gas Fired Humidification
The gas fired humidifiers use natural gas or propane to boil the water and in most cases they have high
and low fire or staging for load control. Gas fired humidifiers are good for larger or high humidity areas
and not as good for small areas.
The Good!
Less expensive to operate than electric humidifiers, large capacity in a small package, and fast recovery time on initial start up.
The Bad!
Like all gas fired equipment maintenance is required on the combustion side,
initial install will require a gas line, water line, venting, and dump line.
Gas is more efficient than electric but still not as cheep as other options.
This system like the electric system will require cleaning on a regular schedule and would prefer RO or DI water.
The ugly!
The install price will be higher due to the gas line and although this system is less
expensive to run when compared to electric it's not the least expensive alternative option available.
