Air Assist Atomization Humidification

Air Assist Atomization The air atomizing system is one of the most simple systems on the market today with very few parts to maintain and the ability to use tap water, this system is one of the best choices available.

How it works:
This system will require an air compressor to provide air to the control panel, tap water or better yet RO water to the panel, and electrical to the control panel. The air and water will go though a pressure regulators and then to solenoids, some systems have safety controls to prevent operation when the pressures are to high or to low. The atomizing heads are located in the duct work or over head in the ceiling of the space with water and air lines run back to the control panel.

On a call for humidity the air solenoid will open and prove a pressure switch or pressure valve allowing the water valve or solenoid to open, the air and water are forced through a small orifice causing the water to be atomized and absorbed into the air when the call is complete the water solenoid will close and then the air to prevent dripping "some use a pressure actuated valve that closes when the pressure drops". The capacity is controlled by the number of heads required from the calculated demand load of the area to be humidified.

The Good!
This system is almost bullet proof, low maintenance, low operating cost read the cost comparison article on this web site, you can use tap water, and installation cost is reasonable, good for large and small areas, Free cooling effect from the natural evaporation process "good for high heat load areas".

The Bad!
You will need to add a air compressor if your building does not have one, this system will add natural cooling to the space if you have a low heat load at winter, larger droplet size than ultrasonic or steam systems requiring more clearance to equipment or turns in duct work.

The Ugly!
None.
